Izidora Angel is a Bulgarian-born memoirist, essayist and literary translator based in Chicago. Her writing has appeared in A Public SpaceAstra Magazine, Chicago Reader, Electric Literature, Gulf Coast and elsewhere, and been anthologized in Best Literary Translations 2024. She’s been recognized by the National Endowment for the Arts, English PEN, ART OMI, the Elizabeth Kostova Foundation and Bread Loaf, among others.

Izidora’s award-winning translation of She Who Remains by Rene Karabash is forthcoming from Sandorf Passage (US) and Peirene Press (UK) in early 2026.
